The Serpent Queen

nfortunately, evil spirits left over from pre-Adamic civilizations never die, and even with name changes they remain the same, without essential change. They can inhabit one person after another in succession, inspiring them to great evils they might not otherwise have committed or even dreamt of. Thus, the same spirit that had energized Jezebel almost eight millennia before, having survived the Re-location and the loss of her frozen icebox of a world, was eager to take up the struggle once again with the forces of Yahweh, the Lord God of Israel.

Pagan gods also change names, when taken by different nations. Baal and Astaroth became Chillelu and Hibishu, but the nature and worship of this “divine pair of fertility gods” remained essentially unchanged over the millennia.

Elektra, self-acclaimed queen of the Atlanteans, in the same way, remained unchanged through the ages, though she changed bodies at least once, and even moved from one species to another. The spirit that had ages inhabited Jezebel felt a close affinity to Elektra—-joining her, the two became doubly formidable and fierce.
